LAMP3, also known as DC-LAMP (Dendritic Cell–Lysosomal Associated Membrane Glycoprotein), is part of the LAMP family, which also includes LAMP1 and LAMP2. Together, these proteins form components of the glycoconjugate coat that lines the inner surface of the lysosomal membrane. In humans, LAMP3 is almost exclusively found in mature dendritic cells, which are potent antigen-presenting cells in lymphoid tissues that induce primary T-cell responses.
